My partner and I moved to Noosa from Melbourne in 2012. We were regulars at the Noosa Farmers Market every Sunday and noticed that while the locals were supporting their farmers and producers, no one was addressing the plastic bag issue. I saw the need for an alternative to single use plastic bags.
While this was several years before the Govt. plastic bag bag came into effect, I saw a gap in the market for quality market baskets and reusable shopping bags and from this, Farmer Drew was born.
From our simple market stall, we have grown into a business that is more than just baskets and reusable bags. We continue to look for great products that match our vision of ‘quality products that won’t cost the earth’.
Why the name Farmer Drew? Prior to moving to Melbourne, I had a small hobby farm in Kangaroo Valley on the NSW South Coast. My friends and family called me Farmer Drew, so I thought that would be a great name for my new business.
I am proud to bring you products such as French market baskets and string bags, reusable shopping bags, 100% Organic Egyptian cotton Fouta Beach Towels from Tunisia and a range of eco-friendly Laundry and Home Cleaning products from ‘The Laundress of New York’.
When shopping with Farmer Drew, you can rest assured that you are helping save the planet in style!
