100% French linen tea towels by Charvet Editions.
Each tea towel has been pre-washed and it is ready to use.
Linen is one of the world’s oldest fabrics, dating back to Egyptian times where it was hand-woven in the Nile Valley. It is made from the fibre of the Flax plant.
The production of linen uses up 10 times less energy and water than cotton and other synthetic fibres.
For many centuries, the city of Armentières in Northern France, has been known as the cité de la toile (city of the fabric). Charvet has been producing quality linen here since the early 1900’s. Each tea towel is hand finished and inspected for its quality by one of the French seamstresses.
